Aid convoys reach northern Gaza for the first time in eleven days

Thirty-one trucks entered northern Gaza on Saturday, the aid coordination body said in an evening statement — the first convoy to reach the area in eleven days. The load was described as flour, tinned food and medical supplies, distributed across four warehouses before nightfall.

Why the pause mattered

Warehouse stock in the north had fallen to what distribution managers describe as a few days of rationed supply. Bakeries dependent on centrally allocated flour had cut output first, followed by the shelter kitchens that draw on the same stores.

A convoy is logistics, not a guarantee. What matters is the interval between one convoy and the next.

The coordination body said scheduling for the coming week had not been agreed. No response has been issued on the reasons for the eleven-day gap.

What it changes on the ground

Six of nineteen bakeries in the area had reopened on rationed hours by Sunday, according to the trade union that represents them. Shelter managers said kitchen output would follow within two days if a second delivery arrives.
